Call for Presenters available for the IIRP's 11th World Conference, October 22-24, 2008, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

ON08 LogoThe Call for Presenters is now available for the 11th IIRP World Conference, "Restoring Community in a Disconnected World," to be held October 22-24, 2008, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Except for various featured speakers and videos, IIRP conferences are created by those who volunteer to make presentations about their experiences with restorative practices. The deadline for proposals is April 30, 2008.

IIRP's 2008 Summer Training Institute will be held July 28–August 1, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

This five-day experience, "Exploring the Restorative Practices Continuum," will offer a journey from basic philosophy to in-depth preparation in implementing restorative approaches.

Family Rights Group hosting international conference, September 17-18, 2008, in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England

"Family-Centred Solutions—Changing Child Welfare Policy and Practice on the Ground" is the title of Family Rights Group's 2008 conference. This major international conference will bring together families, key policy-makers, researchers and practitioners. The conference will examine different models of family-led practice, including family group conferences, exploring ways to develop sustainable practices to meet children and their families' needs.

10th IIRP conference, November 7-9, 2007, in Budapest, Hungary

About 350 participants from 18 countries attended the IIRP's 2007 conference in Budapest, Hungary, on November 7-9, 2007. This interdisciplinary conference provided an international perspective on restorative practices theory and practice in a variety of settings, from education to social welfare to criminal justice.

American Humane to hold Conference on Family Group Decision Making (FGDM), June 3–6, 2008, in Tucson, Arizona
